How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

A single dental implant at our Salt Lake practice can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $2,500. However, the total cost of your dental implant treatment will depend on factors like how many teeth you are missing, the implants you choose, and the overall state of your oral health.

For example, if you're missing all of your teeth and need implant-supported dentures, your treatment will cost more than if you're replacing a single tooth. If you choose premium implants, your treatment will cost more than if you use lower-end implants. If you need a bone graft or sinus lift before your implant surgery, this will also add to the overall cost.

X-Nav

We use a pioneering guided surgery system developed by X-Nav that allows us to plan and carry out incredibly precise dental implant procedures. During the procedure, the system helps him guide implant placement, position, angle, and depth.

Procedure Timeline

The specifics of your treatment at our Salt Lake City, UT, office could vary slightly, but patients can generally expect several steps:

We can use a combination of local anesthetic and sedation to keep you comfortable.
We can use a combination of local anesthetic and sedation to keep you comfortable.

Consultation

Dr. Hopkin will begin with a consultation and oral exam to determine whether you are a good candidate for dental implants in Salt Lake City. If you are, we will next go over your options and design a custom treatment plan to best suit your unique needs.

Preparation

If needed, Dr. Hopkin can perform preparatory procedures. In some circumstances, he will extract a damaged tooth, and in others, he might perform a bone graft or sinus lift.

Surgery

Dr. Hopkin will numb the treatment site with local anesthesia and provide sedation, if needed. Then he will surgically place your dental implants into the jawbone through small incisions in the gums. To ensure maximum precision, Dr. Hopkin will use a special surgical guide customized to your case. Once the titanium implants are in the proper position, he will suture the gums closed. Some patients might receive a temporary restoration at this time.

Osseointegration

In the four to six months following surgery, osseointegration will take place. Although the initial healing period only takes a few weeks, it takes longer for your implants to permanently fuse to your jawbone. During this time, you will attend follow-up appointments so Dr. Hopkin can monitor your progress and make sure you're healing properly.

Abutments

Once osseointegration is complete, Dr. Hopkin will attach abutments to your implants to prepare for the final restoration. Abutments provide a secure connection between the implants and final crown, bridge, or denture. You will need a few weeks to recover from this second procedure before receiving your final restoration.

Restoration

If you have dentures already, Dr. Hopkin can modify the restoration to attach to your implants. Otherwise, your primary dentist will work alongside Dr. Hopkin to provide your custom implant-supported restoration. You will have the prosthetic teeth secured to your abutments where they stay in place permanently, with the exception of professional cleanings and modifications.

Reasons to Choose  Holistic Materials

You Have Allergies

These materials can be ideal for patients who have allergies or sensitivity to titanium. Even if you don't have an allergy, many people simply prefer not to place metal in their bodies. Our Salt Lake City practice is happy to accommodate.

You Value Aesthetics

Because zirconia and ceramic are tooth-colored, they also provide a more natural-looking alternative to titanium dental implants. While most metal implant posts will not show past the gum line, tooth-colored implants and abutments provide additional peace of mind that your restoration is natural-looking.

You Want a Long-Lasting Solution

In general, implant materials are incredibly long-lasting. Some studies have shown that dental implants have a 95 percent success rate 40 to 50 years after placement. Zirconia looks like natural dental tissue, and the material is extremely strong.

“Quick and painless.”

“Dr Hopkin and his staff were kind and professional. They answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. The procedure was quick and painless (after the numbing of course) and I have been extremely happy with my implant.” -Kami Herzberg

Replace an Entire Arch With All-on-4

all-on-4All-on-4 is a special dental implant technique developed by the trusted dental implant company Nobel Biocare™.

During All-on-4 implant surgery, Dr. Hopkin will place four implants in either the upper or lower jawbone. The front two implants are placed upright while the two posterior implants are placed at a 45-degree angle. This special placement maximizes contact with the jawbone and often allows our Salt Lake City, UT, patients to receive a full arch of teeth without bone grafting, which means faster results and more cost-effective treatment.

Often called "Teeth in Day," All-on-4 can provide patients with a temporary denture on the same day as their implant surgery.

Reasons to Consider All-on-4

  • To date, over 250,000 patients have experienced successful full-arch restoration with All-on-4.
  • Ninety-five percent of patients who have undergone All-on-4 are satisfied with their new teeth.
  • All-on-4 implants have an average survival rate of 98 percent after 7.5 years.
